Apprenticeships

Apprenticeships are the gateway to many trades, providing a solid career. In an apprenticeship, students go through a mix of class instruction and practical training in preparation to become a certified trades person. Although the coop provides excellent opportunity for an introduction to a particular career, students interested in trades should look into the OYAP as a way to jump-start their apprenticeships while still in secondary school. LDSS hosts an Apprenticeship Information Evening in the fall.
